First things first: I have once again let a great length of time pass between posts on this blog. Rest assure that I have, at least, 3 great stories that I want to tell. That being said I feel that I need to start with this.
Today, Natalie and I received a Christmas card from this charming couple, Colin and Amy Rose.
The problem is, and I am rather embarrassed to admit this, neither Natalie nor myself know Colin or Amy Rose. What makes matters worse, as if that were possible, the address that we currently live at is not exactly common knowledge. It is not that we have purposefully kept our current address a mystery; rather, we have simply not told many people. No change of address announcement cards. No mass emails. Nothing. That means that the individuals who sent us this Christmas card probably do in fact actually have knowledge of one of us. (The envelope is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Justin Boyd so if anything it is my fault).
So here is, as is often said, the deal. If you know either of these two individuals, or if you are one of these two individuals, please let me know who you/they are and where I know you/they from. I apologize in advance for my complete lack of knowledge and social prowess and I fully admit to being both embarrassed and ashamed by this situation.
To Collin and/or Amy Rose, please accept our humble apology. I am sure that, after this amusing but awkward situation, I will never forget either of you again.

Colin and Amy Rose I love your dogs Latte and Lunchbox. They are so cute. The four of you make a great Christmas photo together. And coming from experience of trying to take photos with dogs (basset hounds to be exact), it is not easy to have them looking at the camera. Even to get two dogs to sit still in the correct direction, without trying to sniff you is a very difficult task. I love your special Christmas photo and apologize that neither Justin and I can figure out who you are. However, you guys look like a blast and I would love to hang out, play a board game, and drink some eggnog together, because it’s Christmas! Yes, Latte and Lunchbox could have a little eggnog too!

Maybe the people are Starbucks folks that got your address from Natalie? A dog named latte? C’mon…

They could be Starbucks people…..but how did Natalie meet Starbucks people in Oakland County? I mean she is good and all but I doubt that she is that good. Perhaps they are random people playing a joke on us. I think next year I will send out random Christmas cards to people with a picture of You. Then we will see what happens.

I can shed light on this, Amy Rose is Justin’s Cousin. The youngest daughter of his Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Bill (which we do not see real often). When I received my Christmas card I too was confused for a little bit. Though Amy Rose looked familiar to me the name confused me adding to her change in hair to color. We have always called her Amy. I have heard her mother call her Amy Rose but all mothers call their children my the first and middle names at times, right Justin……? Rose is her Great Grandmother’s name. Mystery Solved.
