Winter Park, Florida. Well. We will be moving to Michigan at the end of the month. I think it can be easily said that after living in Winter Park, Florida we have discovered we would never wish to live here again. It’s beautiful. Full of beautiful people. An absolutely picture perfect downtown with loads of foot traffic. It sounds great. But it just wasn’t right for us.

We enjoyed spending time with Jason (Justin’s brother), Sheryl (his wife), Chloe (3) and Adeline (6 months), their two daughters and our favorite nieces. It’s been fun to watch Chloe and Adeline grow and do cute things, which they easily do all the time.

With both of their sons in Florida, Tom and Cindy (Justin’s rents) were able to visit everyone in one state and spend time with both of their sons on one visit. It was nice to have Cindy and Tom visit our home in Winter Park.

Although we would never want to return to Winter Park and settle permanently it has had some great elements. I ended up having some fun people I was able to work with at Starbucks. I am currently planning on trying to continue to work for Starbucks even just one night a week, if I can find a location in Michigan that will allow me to do that. Have you tried Pike Place Roast, it just came out today!

Justin and I were able to visit my grandparents in Deerfield Beach twice while we lived here. I have always been extremely close to both of them. It was especially nice for Justin to spend time with them while they were not attempting to entertain (like on a holiday).

Other highlights of our time in Winter Park include that my mom came and visited us. We had an absolute blast with her. My mom and I always have a great time when we are together and Justin and my mom have always gotten along exceptionally well. Especially while considering the horror stories some son-in-law/mother-in-law relationships develop. Soon we will get to spend lots of time with her in Michigan. Let the fun begin!
