Shadows and Curls

Episode #03 present a song entitled Retirement.

In many ways, this song was inspired by an article that Natalie found to be particularly interesting.
The music was extensively sampled from a song entitled “Bourbon Renewal Rumble Groove” by George Fletcher. I found this song on the Podsafe Music Network

Also of note, since the last time we recorded Natalie and I purchased a new microphone.
SnowballRight now you are probably thinking something like this.

Seriously Justin you have recorded what, a few vocal podcasts with Natalie? Maybe? Why the heck did you need to go spend money on a microphone? I mean, what were you using before?

So, if that is what you were thinking you have a good point. at the same time, I was a bit (meaning a whole heck of a lot) irritated by the small vocal range of my iSight web cam. Basically, before using the Snowball, Natalie was not capable of using much of her vocal range. This is a nice way of saying that every time she really started singing, the microphone would start distorting. Needless to say now that you know than you ever wanted to know about my personal frustrations and microphonesI will leave you with a fun arial view of our recording studio (my desk).

Episode #02 presents a song entitled Old School.
This song pokes a bit of fun at a few individuals we knew in college and it gave us the opportunity to experiment with a Jazz type feel as well as a more gritty analog sound.
